Dr Ignacio Tudela-Montes
After a successful 7-year stint in Industry, Ignacio joined the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh to lead research and teaching efforts in Electrochemical Engineering. He leads the e3Group and organises Electrochemical Engineering courses part of the Chemical Engineering Discipline.
After completing a MSc in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Naples "Federico II" in Italy, Davide joined the University of Edinburgh to pursue a PhD in Engineering. Working together with Dr Prashant Valluri and Ignacio, he is studying and modelling acoustic bubble dynamics at low frequencies.
Rasoul joined the e3Group as a visiting PhD student from UNSW (Australia) during May-August 2019. He worked on the development of novel Cu-based thin films for photo-electrochemical water splitting using recycled electronic waste. His research was funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry through a PhD Research Mobility grant.
Franziska first joined the e3Group as a postgraduate student while pursuing an MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. After completing her MSc with distinction, she started her PhD at the group, driving forward our research on piezocatalysis.
After completing BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering at TUM (Germany), Valentin is currently pursuing a PhD in Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. His work is focused on the development of novel Gas Diffusion Layers using non-carbonaceous materials.
